When it does, you need to take action! You can either find extra income so you have the funds to repay your debts, talk to your creditors about making repayments more affordable, or enter debt review.
In debt review, a repayment plan is drawn up by your debt counsellor that allows you to repay what you can afford each month towards your debts until they are paid off, while still ensuring you can pay your living expenses. As your creditors agree to the repayment plan, you won’t have to worry about debt collectors calling you or knocking on the door!
